Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS) would like to bring all jewellers under an umbrella to forge unity.
All businessmen associated with the jewellery industry across the country need to be united to ensure business safety and get rid of the extortion and harassment.
Congenial atmosphere has been restored to the jewellery sector by dint of leadership of BAJUS President Sayem Sobhan Anvir.
Leaders of the BAJUS made the remarks at a view exchange meeting at Kishoreganj on Monday.
They said the jewellery industry will be of international standard and excel other business in export earnings under the apt leadership of Sayem Sobhan Anvir who wants the staggered traders to be united.
They said “We trade the most precious metal. We are proud of this business. BAJUS President Sayem Sobhan Anvir has a great dream. Everyone has to work to realise his dream.”
The speakers mentioned that 40,000 members of the country are united under the leadership of Sayem Sobhan Anvir, adding that time will come when gold traders will not be able to do business without membership of BAJUS.
Stressing discipline in the sector, they said the jewellers must protect rights of the customers, ensure quality of products as per Hallmark and sell ornaments at fixed price across the country.
Pabitra Chandra Ghosh, member of Executive Committee of BAJUS and Standing Committee on District Monitoring, graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Kishoreganj unit President of BAJUS Gazi Jamaluddin presided over the programme which was attended by Standing Committee on District Monitoring member Chandan Kumar Ghosh as the special guest.
Meanwhile, District Committee General Secretary Masuduzzaman moderated the view exchange while former President of Kishoreganj unit Asaduzzaman and District Committee members Vijay Chandra Sarkar, Ujjwal Roy, and Katiadi Upazila representative Alamgir Hossain, Pakundia Upazila representative Shahanshah, among others, addressed the event.
